  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 130g whole milk
  • 50g sour cream
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 350g all-purpose flour
  • 215g chocolate chip (note; if you’re not a fan of chocolate chips, you can leave them out, and if you like, you can add chopped walnuts.

PROCESS

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 425°F (218°C).  Grease a 1 lb loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Stir in the melted unsalted butter.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, milk, sour cream, egg, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt to the mixture and stir in. Add the all-purpose flour, gradually, mixing until just incorporated.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake them at 425°F (218°C) for 13 minutes, then reduced to 360°F (182°C) and baked them for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Enjoy!
  7. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
